As it is often said if you don't take your chances you can't expect to win matches and so was the case in point for D/B in this good spirited entertaining encounter at Bellewstown on Tuesday evening last. A good early rally from the home team left them 1-2 to 0-1 up after 10 minutes but a strong response from St Michaels meant it was nip and tuck all the way to half time where the sides went in 3-04 apiece. On the restart again D/B went into a 2 point lead but a failure to convert chances presented plus not kicking some easy frees over the bar meant a St Michaels comeback was always possible. And so it turned out as St Michaels came back into it and it was D/B who had to earn the draw in the end. A lot of good tackling, a determination not to let the opponents have anything easy and good discipline by the home team was a joy for the home supporters to watch in an entertaining match.
