A League Round 4 V Oldcastle 31/3/13

Duleek/Bellewstown recorded an excellent victory against table toppers Oldcastle played in blustery conditions in Bellewstown on Sunday morning. The home side were playing against a strong breeze in the first half and they trailed by a single point at the interval as John Flood and Kieron Collins accounted for two scores apiece for the home side leaving the score at half time     Oldcastle 0-05    to     D/B 0-04.

 

Oldcastle where the quickest off the mark in the second half as they pointed immediately. D/B then dominated the remainder of the second half and they took full advantage of the strong breeze that was made available to them as they accounted for a massive 2-10 during the course of this interval.

 

Scores came in the form of John Flood (0-04), Conal Mc Ginley (0-02), Stephen Nolan (1-02), Tony Cunningham (0-01), Darren Mills (0-01), Darren Heaney (0-01) and Kieron Collins (1-01). D/B came out with a fine win as the final score was

 

                           Duleek/Bellewstown 2-14          Oldcastle 0-07.

 

Impressive for the home side were Kevin McCann and David Moore in defence while Tony Cunningham and Stephen Nolan dominated midfield and John Flood and Kieron Collins did well up front.
